Who was Nancy J. Brua?

Nancy J. Brua is the name of a woman who did more than help animals.  She was an army nurse who got stationed at Fort Huachuca early in her career. According to Nancy J Brua Animal Care Center's website, Nancy served in Vietnam for 13 months as a front-line surgical nurse. For over a year she spent every day saving lives, putting herself in danger, and supporting troops.

The Nancy J Brua animal Care Center was only made possible due to a 1-million-dollar donation made by Nancy J. Brua's estate. Even long after her service, her name and legacy are being used to support the community and help save the lives of animals in need!

The Nancy J Brua Animal Care Center also accepts unwanted pets at no charge, reducing the number of pets that get dumped nearby. They also provide tips and advice for loc al pet owners who are struggling and encourage relinquishment a last resort.

They also help people find low cost and affordable vaccination and sterilization.
This place is set out on a mission much larger than helping animals. They are helping keep the community safe, pet owners keep their pets, and scared animals find a home!
