BELIEVE IT: Arizona HAs The Best Beer In The World
One of the oldest beverages in human history is beer. Being developed alongside the earliest recorded civilizations as far back as 4,000 B.C., the drink has been a mainstay through all eras of history.
It should be no surprise, then, that we've only gotten better at making it, and Arizona just made their mark on the scene.
The World Beer Cup
Founded in 1996, the World Beer Cup is the pinnacle of alcohol competitions. Regularly referred to as the "Olympics of Beer Competitions", this event invites breweries from across the globe to judge their styles, flavors and more.
This year, the event was held in Indianapolis, Indiana, and invited 1,761 breweries from 49 countries. These are split up between 112 categories based on style, and the top three beers in each are given medals and a spot on the top of the international alcohol mountain.

Arizona's Best Beers
While dozens of Arizona breweries threw their hat into the ring, five came away with medals and bragging rights.
Two came away with the bronze in their respective categories, meaning they show a "fine example of the style". Those would be Tempe's Six Bryd Cider's "Apple Pie à la Mode", and Tucson's Barrio Brewing Company's "Rojo". Those weren't the show stealers however.
Those would be the three that came away with Silver medals, which showcases "excellent beer" according to the WBC website. This includes Tucson's Dragon Brewing Company's "Dragoon Amber", Goodyear's Saddle Mountain Brewing Company's "Now What?", and Flagstaff's Lumberyard Brewing Company's "Railhead Red".
So the next time you come across one of these breweries, make sure you at least sample one of the best beers in the world.
