Cochise College President Dr. Rottweiler Steps Down
In early November, the 2024 United States Presidential Election took place. It was considered "the most important election of our lives", and will likely have long standing effects that we will feel decades down the line.

Dr. Rottweiler Announces Retirement
After a 15 year run as President of Cochise College, Dr. James Dale Rottweiler is stepping down from his position. A prolific and beloved figure throughout campus, he brought Cochise College into a new era, and since 2009, has striven to create the best and most welcoming environment he can.
His focus is on Cultural Studies and Social Mobility, having travelled extensively to broaden his view of the world and its people. His knowledge of these subjects has helped him create a version of Cochise College that celebrates and uplifts all its students, no matter what walk of life they hail from.

How Will the Next President Be Chosen?
This new president will be chosen, not like the president of the U.S., but more like a new Pope. Earlier in November, semi-finalists were put through a series of interviews that determined the three finalists.
On the week of December 2nd, the finalists will be interviewed, and one will be chosen. This choice will be announced to the public in the later half of December. The Finalists have already been named as Dr. James Perry, Dr. Ian Roark, and Dr. Justin Hoggard. We will break down their candidacies in a forthcoming article.
