Do You Love Arizona’s Favorite Christmas Movie?
The Holiday season is here, and one of my favorite parts about this time of year is sitting down, cozying up, and watching a Christmas movie. They always put me in a good mood, and they help make the season of magic feel that much more special.
Everyone has a favorite though ("It's a Wonderful Life" for me), and certain states tend to lean together.
Favorite Holiday Movies Across America
Recently, Newsweek compiled a list of the preferred Christmas movie for every state in the Union, taken from Rotten Tomatoes "Top 50 Christmas Movies" list. Out of those 50, 11 were represented as full-on favorites.
"A Christmas Story" reigns as the king, with 23 separate states choosing that as their favorite. It seems this is the case for most Americans, but several states have swung differently, with some preferring "Home Alone", "A Charlie Brown Christmas", and "Die Hard" (Yes it is a Christmas movie).

What's Arizona's Favorite Christmas Movie?
Arizona's favorite Christmas movie ranks in as the second most popular in America, and for good reason. That movie would be Will Ferrell's 2003 smash comedy, "Elf". The story of an orphan boy raised as one of Santa's elves before travelling to New York City is a laugh-out-loud riot, and well worth taking the Grand Canyon State's top spot.
Ten other states seemed to agree with Arizona, and also have 'Elf" in their top spot. as one of my top-10 picks, "Elf" is a must-watch every holiday season.
