Tips For A Safe And Disaster Free Arizona Holiday
As the holiday season creeps up on us, you'll likely be trying to make your family get-togethers and Christmas celebrations feel like a movie.
Unfortunately, no matter how hard you try, you're more likely to end up with something more akin to National Lampoon's Christmas Vacation than It's A Wonderful Life.
To ensure you have the best holiday possible, here are some tips to keep everything running smoothly.
Stop Disaster Before It Happens
The holidays means it's time for travel. Around 49% of Americans plan to travel this year for the holiday season, which means new people staying in your home. One side effect of this is new, and unknown dangers entering your home.
Medication is a perfect example of this. Visitors may bring their various meds with them, without thinking to keep them locked up. To stop kids from easily getting into these and possibly harming themselves, ensure everyone knows where their medication will be stored, and secure it with a lock, or child-proofed lids.

Let's Talk Plants
Starting, of course, with festive holiday plant life like Poinsettias and Mistletoe. While these decorative set pieces are not entirely dangerous, they still cause mildly irritating side effects when eaten, such as nausea, vomiting, and headaches. Keep an eye on the kiddos whenever these plants are around, and ensure they know that the plants are not for dinner.
Finally, let's talk about... uh, "plants". To those adults who choose to partake in any kind of smoking, Marijuana, Tobacco, or otherwise, keep in mind to keep any cigarettes, vape pens, etc. out of reach of children, and smoke away from them, as even the second-hand smoke can be incredibly dangerous.
