How Social Media Reacted to Cardinals Draft Picks
The NFL Draft is underway in Detroit, and no team needed a good year at the Draft quite like the Arizona Cardinals.
The Cardinals finished last season with a dismal 4-13 record, dousing the fanbases hopes that there is a brighter future ahead. With star QB Kyler Murray returning to the field in 2024, Arizona needed to pull all the stops to build a confident, strong team that can make a statement in 2024.
That's exactly what they did.
Round 1, Pick 4: Marvin Harrison Jr. (WR)
The Cardinals got their man right out of the gate. Ohio State Wide Receiver Marvin Harrison Jr., affectionately known as Maserati Marv by Fox's Gus Johnson, was the most coveted pick of this draft, and Arizona was able to scoop him up early. This adds a vital receiver for Kyler Murray, and one that knows what he's doing.
This was seen as the perfect pick for Arizona, and fans took to Twitter (X if you have no braincells) to celebrate.
Round 1, Pick 27: Darius Robinson (DE)
Offense isn't the only thing that wins games, and the Cards know that. Their second pick, Missouri's Darius Robinson, is a bona fide stud. Robinson clocks in at 6'5", 285lbs, making him a formidable weapon on the front line. This pick added much needed depth to Arizona's defensive side, and once again, the fans were ecstatic.
Heading Into the Future
This is being considered the best draft for the Cards since they selected Larry Fitzgerald in 2004. This season will be a complete overhaul of the Arizona Cardinals program, and fans are getting ready to pack State Farm Stadium once again.
The Arizona Cardinals are back.
