Arizona Nurse Rescues The Man Who Saved Her Life
Guardian Angels rarely appear anymore. Stories of their guidance have persisted through generations. These days, they appear as a helping hand, a friend, or just a shoulder to cry on.
It's not often that two get to help each other, but sometimes, just sometimes, Guardian Angels need help too.
The Crash
It's 1996 in Glendale, Arizona. Christy Lessnau and her mother are driving down the street when they arrive at 51st Avenue and Beardsly. As they cross the intersection, they're rammed by a drunk driver, completely oblivious to the road in front of them.
When Christy came to, her mother was unconscious, and she noticed a warm feeling on her throat. Debris had slit from her chin down and barely missed any vital arteries. The Glendale Fire Department arrived as soon as they could, and were able to save both her and her mother's life.

The Diagnosis
Nowadays, Christ works as a registered nurse for City of Hope. One day, while on the floor, she overheard one patient discussing his firefighting career with his coworker. She immediately asked what station he'd worked for, and he responded "Glendale". She asked if he knew a man named Rollie, which the man did. He was his driver engineer. She stated that it was Rollie and a man named Chuck Montgomery that had saved her life in '96.
The man took off his hat and responded to that with two simple words: "I'm Chuck". The two had a beautiful moment together, an she was finally able to thank the man who saved her life. She's been reassigned to his case as he recovers from Stage Three Non-Hodgkin's Lymphoma.
