Sierra Vista is about as idyllic of a place to live as anywhere else. In the shadow of the Huachuca Mountains, this  bustling metropolitan area is known for a tight-knit community, pleasant living, and most of all: peace and quiet.

A Body Found in Sierra Vista

In the early afternoon of November 14th, at around 12:10pm, Sierra Vista Police found something no one wants to: a dead body. It was found in a field, just west of Foothills Drive and Coronado Drive, with not much to go off of.

After the body was found, the SVPD immediately went to work, attempting to find a cause of death, possible murder weapons, and a clear motive. This didn't seem like an accident. The investigation is ongoing, and the body has been submitted for an autopsy to help determine the story behind this grizzly scene.

Is There a Pattern?

Unfortunately, this isn't the first possible murder Sierra Vista Police have had to investigate this year. At least two more similar bodies have been found this year, and the question becomes: Is this a pattern? Sierra Vista is still reeling from The Phantom Killings nearly 60 years ago, and rumors of a calculated killer roaming the streets have begun to escalate.

Luckily, no such connection has officially been made. Humans primary function is to notice and connect patterns, which is why these rumors have begun to spread, but they're just that, rumors.

The SVPD has officially stated that there is no immediate threat to the public.
