Bats Found On Arizona University Campus Cause Viral Spread
Located just outside of Lake Alice on the University of Florida campus are the University Bat Houses. It's a place for students to study the tiny critters, and at sunset every day, the bats are released into the twilight sky to the amazement of hundreds of onlookers.
That's the positive side of bats on college campuses, unfortunately, Arizona found the negative side.
The Bat-Dorm
Through the early months of the fall semester at Northern Arizona University, everything seemed to alright. Students were getting accustomed to life on their own, going to seedy house parties, and studying for their future. It was all turned upside down on October 4th, when students at the Mountain View Dorms were abruptly ordered to move out.
Why the massive change out of nowhere? A few weeks prior, students believed to see a bat in the dormitory, but thought nothing of it. The bat was captured in early September, and showed traces of rabies. That bat started a dorm-wide search, which led to the university finding dozens more.

The Aftermath
Well, you can't leave kids in a rabies infested dorm, so where can they go? The university has transferred the students at Mountain View into their own, off-campus apartments. It's not all sunshine and rainbows though. While some students were lucky enough to get their own one bedroom, others were matched with roommates as old as 30.
Background checks were not completed on the new roommates, and to make matters worse, on-campus parking, which students paid $700 for, is no longer theirs, with no refund being made at this time.
