Why FBI Agents Are About To Flood Arizona
In 2023, acclaimed director Martin Scorsese released Killers of the Flower Moon, a gut-wrenching true story of the formation of the FBI to investigate the tragic murders of Osage Tribe members in Oklahoma.
Now, a similar situation is unfolding in Arizona, and the FBI is back to fight for native rights in Arizona.
Operation Not Forgotten
Violent crime on native land didn't end with the Osage, and the FBI is prepared to do something about it. Many crimes on tribal land, especially Arizona, go unsolved, which is why 11 FBI agents will head to the Grand Canyon State to try and settle the score.
There are plenty of issues that make solving crimes on native land an issue, from its remote location to the laws in place there. That's why America has put the best of the best on it, and they hope to come back with results.

What Will Agents be Doing in Arizona?
Agents will be sent to states across the country, rotating positions every 90 days through September of 2025. These agents will primarily focus on solving child abuse, murder, and missing person cases, as these are the most common unsolved crimes on tribal lands.
This harkens back to the Missing and Murdered Indigenous Persons program, founded in 2023. In that time, the Justice Department rounded up more than 50 offenders, and recovered 10 children. The hope is that with more agents able to search and question, these numbers will continue to rise until these unsolved crimes stop becoming a problem. If KOTFM's history tells us anything, it's that the FBI will not stop until justice is served.
