Here’s How You Can Help End Homelessness In Arizona
As you're reading this, you're likely sat somewhere in your home, maybe at work, or maybe in the passenger seat of your friends car. Whatever the case is, you likely have somewhere to go back to at the end of the night.
That's not the case with everyone in Arizona, however, and one Arizona organization has just developed a program that may end homelessness in the state once and for all.
What's the State of Homelessness in Arizona?
Over the past five years, homelessness has become a quickly diminishing problem. Programs across the state have helped unhoused persons get out of their situation, but it's a problem that persists nonetheless.
There are still over 9,000 people in Maricopa county alone that are struggling from homelessness, including around 1,200 children under 17, and over 500 veterans. Nearly 51% of these have no shelter whatsoever, meaning they have to literally live on the streets. Those days might be at an end.

Angels on Call
Developed by The Society of St. Vincent De Paul, "Angels on Call" is a revolutionary app that lets you, yes, you, help folks get out of homelessness. The concept is simple: the app sends out alerts for struggling families in Arizona, and anyone who wants can donate towards helping them.
Chief program officer Jessica Berg has made it clear that the amount of money necessary to keep someone off the streets is minimal, only needing about $2,000 to get them back up on their feet. While you can pay for the whole amount someone needs, you can also pay however much you're comfortable with. Even the smallest amount can mean the world to someone, so why not step up, and become an Angel on Call?
