Arizona’s Most Popular School Subject

School's finally heading back, which means kids from ages four to eighteen are going to be sitting through eight hours of rigorous studying every day. The consensus might be that most students hate school outright, but many have one subject that calls to them.

America's Favorite Subject

Obviously, every singular person has a different favorite subject, and a different reason as to why, but by looking at google search trends across the United States a clearer picture begins to arise.

Health takes the spot as the favorite subject among Americans, but the Midwest is doing a lot to keep it up there. Out of the 14 states that listed Health as their favorite, eight were from the Midwest. In fact, not a single state that has health listed as their favorite touches a coast.

That means absolutely nothing in our argument, but it's interesting nonetheless.

Arizona's Favorite Subject

Just as the Midwest all agrees on their favorite subject, so to does the Southwest. California, New Mexico, Nevada, and of course, Arizona, all share the same favorite, and it might not be what you expected.

All of these states believe that English is the best subject! The only other states that agree are Washington (state), Illinois, and Florida (we'd have a perfect west coast if it wasn't for those hippies in Oregon picking Foreign language).

This is a great sign for the state, as it shows we're more well read than most other states in the country, so if you ever need an excuse to tell someone you're a bigger literary nerd than them, just pull up the stats.
