Arizona’s Favorite Place to Shop
The flesh prisons we find our consciousness trapped in are fickle structures. If it weren't for their constant nagging at us, we could breeze through life without a care in the world.
Unfortunately, we are slaves to the whims of our bodies. They force us to sleep, eat, and drink to keep them functioning properly. When we need to replenish our sustenance, we make our way to our closest (or favorite) grocery store to buy all the food and drink we need.
But where's Arizona's FAVORITE place to go when in need of food?
The Choices
Arizona has plenty of options to run to when you need some quick ingredients. Some of them are national chains, like Wal-Mart, which has over 4,500 stores in the U.S. alone. Others, like Albertsons are more local to the west coast.
Aside from certain regional stores like Publix (best subs on the planet) or naming differences such as Kroger and Fry's, Arizona is equal with the rest of the U.S. in terms of grocery store variety.
Who Comes Out on Top
There are plenty of options to choose between for Arizona residents, but first we need to know which are the most prevalent throughout the state.
5. Costco (32)
4. Albertsons (33)
3. Wal-Mart (61)
2. Fry's (74)
1. Safeway (149)
You may think that due to its numbers, over double the number two spot, that Safeway would take the crown home, but according to a study done by Wisevoter, your champion is...
FRY'S!!
Arizona is the only state where Fry's is the most popular grocery store, which makes the win even more fascinating, coupled with its lower numbers compared to some other stores in surrounding states.
