Ice Cream And Arizona: What Do Its Residents Prefer?
When you live in a state that regularly hits above 100 degrees, most people are doing whatever they can to cool down. While that may include going to lakes and waterparks, or spending more time in A/C, there's another option that most Arizonans indulge in... Ice Cream.
The sweet treat comes in hundreds upon hundreds of flavors, but which does Arizona prefer?
#4: Mint Chocolate Chip/Strawberry
Starting out the list is a tie for fourth, with two flavors that have a significant, vocal fanbase, but still can't break into the main stream. Strawberry caught a break when it was included in Neapolitan ice cream along with the heavy hitters of Vanilla and Chocolate, but can't find a way to stand on its own. Mint Chocolate Chip follows the same problem, holding a small group of people captive with its flavor, but unable to jump the barrier into the top three.
#3: Cookies and Cream
Starting off the top-3 with a strong flavor, Cookies and Cream has been a staple of ice cream flavors for time immemorial. Combining two of the most popular flavors by mixing vanilla ice cream with chunks of non-brand-specific chocolate cookies leads to a lot of popularity, especially across Arizona.
#2: Chocolate
Coming in at runner-up, my personal favorite flavor, chocolate. While it may be blander than the insane combinations chocolate ice cream has been known to get into, it's a classic for a reason. Most chocolate ice cream hits the sweet spot of being not too sweet, and not too savory, so it's no wonder Arizonans, like the rest of the world, hold it near and dear to their hearts.
And now, the moment you've all been waiting for...
Drum Roll Please.
#1: Vanilla!!
