When You Need Help, Arizona’s There To Answer!
Mother Nature can be a cruel mistress. Nowhere knows that more than Texas, the Lone Star state. Over the past few years, the state's been rocked with tragedies on a mass scale, and their latest may be the most tragic.
While tragedy sweeps the state, Arizona has stepped in to lend a helping hand...
Tragedy Strikes Texas
The Fourth of July is meant for celebration and community togetherness. For Texas, however, it was no such party. Starting on the Fourth, flash flooding began in the state's Hill Country, just outside of San Antonio along the Guadalupe River.
Since the devastation started, over 100 deaths have been confirmed, and around 160 are still believed to be missing amidst the wreckage. Search and Rescues have been working day and night to find folks and bring them back home, but there's only so much one state can do.
How Arizona Made an Impact in the 2025 SoCal Fires

Arizona is Here to Help!
As with the wildfires in Southern California in early 2025, Arizona has decided to lend a hand to our southwestern neighbors. We've deployed Arizona Task Force 1, a 48 piece force, to Texas to aid in search and rescue. This is one of 28 FEMA task forces across America, and they've got experience.
Right now, the focus is just outside of San Antonio, where the Task Force is clearing debris, untangling trees and wires, and searching alongside the river in airboats and horseback to bring the survivors home. This is one of, if not the largest search operation in Texas history, and Arizona is proud to call itself a part of it.
