Got Milk? Arizona Milk Producers Give Back To Their Community
When I was a young boy, my father took me to the Atlanta Community Food Bank to volunteer my time, and give back to those around us. That experience stuck with me, and despite any stigma against them, food banks are some of the best humanity has to offer.
One group in Arizona has a unique plan to get everyone involved.
Arizona Milk Producers Help Out
The Arizona Milk Producers love milk, obviously, but they don't discriminate. Any form of the calcium rich beverage is their cup of tea (or milk?), and there's not one form they like more than the milkshake.
Specifically, milkshakes from Cold Beer & Cheeseburgers, an establishment that has 17 locations across the Grand Canyon State. A mixture of their love for milkshakes and a love for the community, Arizona Milk Producers have set up a promotion that benefits both.
Our Milkshakes Bring All The Boys to the Food Bank
Now through the end of June, the Arizona Milk Producers are partnering with Cold Beer & Cheeseburgers to bring milk to everyone. If you order any milkshake while at an Arizona location of CB&C, a portion of the proceeds will go to providing fresh milk to food banks across the state.
AMP have stated that milk is an often overlooked item in food bank lists, with most people preferring to donate canned and non-perishable items or fresh produce. Milk is an incredibly nutritious product, and can be a well needed source of calcium for those who don't have easy access to milks or cheeses.
The Arizona Dairy Farmers have also been working on this project, and hope to shine a light on the importance of milk across the state.
