How Life In Arizona Is Different Than Life In Other States.
People in Arizona deal with different climates, environments, and policys then other states. This means that the way Arizonians go about their days may differ from the rest of the country. Here are some things to consider about life in Arizona that may be impacting your daily routine.

The Heat
Arizona and other hot states develop routines and systems that make living in the heat possible. According to a study done by Arizona State University, hot weather impacts daily routines. Research shows that on hot days, the rates of public transportation usage and the number of pedestrians and bikers on the street drop by 50%.
During the summer months, busy hours change. Traffic is worse earlier in the mornings and in the late evenings, and businesses don't get as much traction during the afternoon.

The Tourism
Arizona has a lot of tourists coming and going all across the state. Some are visiting our beautiful landscapes like Sedona and the Grand Canyon, and some are getting a piece of history from Tombstone and Jerome. Over 46 million tourists visit Arizona every year, and that affects the way the general population lives.
Tourists in Arizona spend around 33 billion dollars a year when they are visiting. This causes an economic boost, especially in the winter months. For people who live in Arizona, tourists may seem like a nuisance. They clog streets and make visiting your favorite spots more time-consuming. This causes people to avoid tourist routes on weekends and around holidays, so they don't get caught up in the out-of-state crowd. Despite the annoyance some people feel towards them (especially the snowbirds), they do have a positive impact on the state's economy.

No Daylight Saving Time
Arizona does not observe daylight saving time, as everyone who lives here knows. With most of the country changing its clocks, our lack of a time change actually affects the way we go about our day-to-day lives. With most of the countries' clocks changing, meeting times do as well.
If you have a video meeting every few weeks with other people in the country, when daylight saving time changes, so does your meeting time. A meeting that was once at 10 may now be at eleven. This changes the way people go about their days. If you have out-of-state friends or family, the times you call them may change to accommodate their time change. While these seem like minor changes, Arizona is one of the few states that has to adapt to them.
Arizona is a lot different from other states, and so is the way we go about our days. The Grand Canyon state is shaped by a variety of factors, such as the heat, the tourism, and the way we structure our days. Things that outsiders may not think about is everyday life here in Arizona.
