
Arizona Wants To Become More Like Florida??
At the turn of the Millenia, the United States saw arguably the closest presidential election in history. The race between Bush and Gore came down to the wire, and that wire's name was Florida.
The "Hanging Chad" debacle is one of the greatest examples of election negligence in history, which makes it all the more confusing that Arizona wants to copy Florida's ballot counting policies.
Why Does Arizona's System Need to Change?
Arizona has been at the center of "election fraud" discourse for the past five years, and everyone is tired of it. For some reason the state can never seem to give a standard response on election day, and the entire state government is ready for a change.
They hope to speed up the process of counting votes, so voters can feel more secure that their choices actually matter, and will hopefully gain faith in the system that should be airtight.

How Will Florida Inspire These Changes?
The largest issue Arizona sees these days is the time required to count mail-in ballots, as each and every one needs to be signature-verified before they can be counted. The state is looking to change that completely, requiring all early ballots to be submitted by the Friday before election day to ensure they're counted properly.
If this proposition is passed, the Grand Canyon State could see it on the ballot as soon as 2026, just in time for midterm elections. What do you think? Will this change Arizona's elections for the better, or just make them more needlessly complicated?
