Do You Trust AI To Teach Your Child In Arizona?
When I first began college, I majored in education. My mother had been a teacher, and I was hoping to follow in her footsteps. Unfortunately, the profession lost its luster after two semesters and I transferred to broadcasting.
Teachers are our most important workers, helping the youth grow into their own and being a helping hand or guiding light for those who may need it.
Arizona is about to kill the entire profession.

Truth is stranger than fiction and in this case, it's science fiction. Growing up on The Terminator and The Matrix, I was always cautious of an Artificial Intelligence takeover, and it seems that's finally begun.
Starting in 2025, students from fourth to eight grade at Arizona's Unbound Academy will be taught classes like math and science by an AI teacher in two-hour blocks throughout the day. The goal is to compact these lessons so kids have more time to pursue other academic pursuits.

What are the Benefits?
This program has already begun in states like Florida and Texas, who have similar charter schools picking up these robotic helpers. These schools consistently push out graduates in the top two percent of students in the U.S., and parents couldn't be more thrilled.
It seems that kids and parents both love it, but will this be a detriment to actual teachers? The school says no, as many teachers already use AI to brainstorm or even full out plan their lesson plans for the day.
Should teaching become a profession of the past, or is AI too big of a risk to put in our schools?
