Sports Betting Is Becoming An Unparalleled Issue In Arizona
In 2018, the United States legalized sports betting across the nation. This immediately grabbed hold of America's attention, and became one of the most profitable industries in the modern day.
Arizona is one of the largest hubs for this, legalizing the practice in April 2021, but it's caused far more issues than anyone could have expected.
Arizona's Sports Betting is Getting Out of Control
After legalization, the Grand Canyon State became enthralled with the practice, becoming one of America's biggest spenders on athletic gambling. In September alone Arizonans gambles a whopping $732 million, the second largest amount in the state since 2021.
You can't watch a sporting event these days without seeing ads for gambling apps, centers, or just ideas for your next parlay. It's dragged more and more people in, and has spit out gambling addicts with no hope of recovery.

How Do We Help?
Back in the day, you used to have to go to a casino or bookie to place your best on teams, but these days, it's all mobile. In fact, in September's record breaking month, 98% of bets were placed through mobile apps, nothing more than a button press away from wagering your mortgage on Devin Booker.
Luckily, the Senate is on the case. They are currently drafting the GRIT Act, a piece of legislation that would require 50% of tax collected through bets to be used for research and treatment of gambling addicts.
