Can You Believe The Baffling World Record Set In Arizona
For decades, Hollywood, California has stood as the epicenter of America, nay, worldwide film culture. In the past few years, however, have seen a monumental shift, as filmmaking has found new homes across the United States.
One of these "New Hollywoods" is, of course, the Great State of Arizona, and our passion for movies just broke a world record.
The Chandler International Film Festival
In 2016, the city of Chandler started up the Chandler International Film Festival (CIFF). The intent? To bring the people of Arizona films from across the globe to broaden their horizons, and see projects that may have otherwise not seen the light of day.
Over 120 films from over 35 countries are screened every year, with industry professionals attending for pressers, Q&As, and networking events. The festival has become one of Arizona's biggest, and the 2025 edition showed that better than any before.

The Movie Poster World Record
At this year's edition of the CIFF, the festival was able to pull off something astounding. On Sunday, February 2nd, the festival, and the city of Chandler were awarded with a World Record, Guinness approved. But what for? Movie posters, of course.
Over the nearly 10 years that the festival's been active, they've screened a lot of movies, and have posters of them for proof. Finally, they assembled all of them, over 1,300, to break the world record for the largest display of movie posters. This beat the previous record by over 300 posters, and should keep the CIFF in the lead for years to come.
The display is currently at Look Dine-In Cinema in Candler.
