Where should you take your date this Valentines Day?!
Valentine's Day is right around the corner, which means it's time to start making plans! Here are five of the best places in Cochise County to take your date!

5.) Entertainment
Going to the movies may seem like a stereotypical place to take a date, but Cinemark has a variety of movies for every couple set to play on the 14th. Wuthering Heights, I Can Only Imagine 2, and Crime 101 are a few of the movies you can buy tickets for that day.
The Sierra Vista Community Theatre also has a showing of Meteor Shower by Steve Martin Valentines Day weekend. This is a live performance and a romantic comedy perfect for a date night.
4.) La Casita
La Casita is a well-known local restaurant in Sierra Vista with great service and delicious Mexican Food. Despite the recent fire in their banquet room, La Casita is still open for business!
With delicious food options and an atmosphere that screams love, La Casita could be a great place to go this Valentine's Day. Whenever I go here, I get myself a big old sopapilla sundae, but they also have appetizers and entree options if that's more to your palate.

3.) Visit the Sierra Vista Animal Shelter
If you don't have a date, or have a date who loves animals, The Nancy J. Brua Animal Care Center is having their 18th anniversary event on Valentine's Day! If you or your partner want to cuddle up with some animals, visit the animal shelter from 12-4 pm.
The event will consist of activities such as special adoptions, a rummage sale, refreshments, a kissing booth, and free adoptions for some of their pets. Even if you plan to go to dinner or a show, stopping by the animal shelter is a great activity to add to your list.
2.) A Picnic at Carr Canyon
I know what you're thinking- A picnic? Outside? In the middle of February?! Despite Arizona not being known for its cold weather, February will sometimes have icy days. But if the weather allows it, a picnic at Carr Canyon can be a creative, dazzling place to take a date. This is especially true in the winter when there is a chance of snow on the mountain tops.
There are picnic tables available at the base of the trail, so all you really need to do is bring some food. And let's be honest, taking the time to put together food for a picnic with your Valentine is a thoughtful and sweet way to show you care.
On top of all of that, if you decide you want to walk off all the food you ate, a nice stroll in nature is a romantic way to spend your afternoon or evening.
1.) The Copper Pig, Bisbee Arizona
The Copper Pig in Bisbee is at the top of my list due to its atmosphere and wonderful menu. They have appetizers and entrees such as Jambalaya, Pig Chowder, and Shrimp Gambas.
Not only does this restaurant offer great food that differs from the other options in the area, but they also have a 4.8/5-star rating on Yelp. With a great reputation and admirable dishes, The Copper Pig is definitely where I am going on Valentine's Day.
They take reservations, so if you are thinking of taking your valentine here, give them a call and reserve a table.
So, with all of these great options in mind, where are you taking your Valentine, or yourself, this year!?
