My favorite thing about Arizona isn't the people, food, or cities. It's the parks! I love hiking, and the Grand Canyon State may be the best state for that activity.

As the technological age keeps creeping in, Arizona State Parks wants to remind us to get out and about, and they've got a great incentive for it headed into 2025.

Arizona First Day Hikes

Since 2012, state parks across America have taken part in the "First Day Hikes" initiative in order to get people out to their local parks, and hopefully keep them coming back. These take place on January 1st, as a way to ring in the new year. Parks across the nation offer guided tours with rangers, volunteers, and hiking enthusiasts all coming together to marvel at the beauty of our natural world.
