When outdoor recreation is necessary, you still need a way to cool down. So what's Arizona's preference for their icy beverages?

What's America's Favorite Soda?

A recent study looked at every state and their preferred soda for hot, summer days. Buy-and-large, Coca-Cola reigned supreme with 19 states claiming the soda as their favorite, while Mountain Dew came in a close second with 16 states.

Pepsi and Dr. pepper gained some accolades, while Orange Crush was able to sway one state (Delaware) under their spell. While many would think the original Coke would sweep the U.S., this goes to show the mass diversity held in America, and nowhere is a better example of that than the Great State of Arizona.

What Are Arizona's Favorite Beverages?

Every state was ranked with their Top-5 in order, and Arizona's was one of the more interesting picks on the list. Overall, we join the majority with Classic Coca-Cola as our favorite soft drink, but the rest of our Top-5 makes us anything but normal.

Our second favorite is the delectable Dr. Pepper with its 23 Distinct Flavors, and our third was Mountain Dew. Four and Five were Pepsi and Root Beer respectively, showing a much more broad disparity than not only other states, but the country itself. So the next time you're looking for a refreshing drink to cool you off, stop at your local convenience store, and have a Coke and a smile.
