This New Product Aims To Turn Arizona Homes Green
Humanity may have reached its peak when we invented Air Conditioning. We learned how to physically change the climate we're in, and regulate it to our liking. We're like spoiled medieval princes.
Unfortunately in a state like Arizona, A/C can only do so much as our homes soak up the heat, and leave us feeling like a rotisserie chicken.
A major overhaul is coming to Arizona homes, and it's going to keep the heat out.
Cork? Like the Wine Stopper?
Green Cork Products is the newest innovation to come from the Grand Canyon State, hoping to make living in one of the hottest places on earth more bearable. Their product is made from, well, you guessed it, cork! This material, the bark of the Cork Oak Tree, is stripped to be used for the product.
The tree is the only one whos bark regenerates, allowing for the material to be harvested without ever cutting down a single tree. While it takes around 25 years to regrow, the material will grow back smoother each time, leading to a better product.

What Does Green Cork Do?
Okay, enough with the Botany lesson. What does this stuff really do? Well, Green Cork Products' main selling point is the Green Cork Spray, an exterior home coating. This works very similarly to stucco, but will not crack.
This, in conjunction with its ability to mitigate outside heat, and being fire resistant makes it excellent for homes in the desert. They hope this product will have a radical change on home architecture in Arizona, and hopefully begin moving nationwide.
