How Arizona Is On The Path To Become A Chinese Territory
Ever since the fall of the Soviet Union, the United States has been at odds with the People's Republic of China, continuing our decades long fight against Communism and sympathetic countries.
Now, a landmark piece of legislation has been shot down that may give the CCP control over the state of Arizona.
Chinese Land Ownership in Arizona
In early 2025, Republican Senator Janae Shamp introduced Senate Bill 1109. She claimed the bill was to stop foreign spying on U.S. Military bases in the state, claiming that the Chinese government had been buying up land and buildings extremely close to Luke Air Force Base in Maricopa County.
While the validity of that claim has come under some scrutiny, it lit a fire beneath the senate, who drafted the bill to stop China from owning a substantial amount of land, especially near U.S. Military bases. The bill was approved by the senate on May 28th, with a vote of 17-11.

Make America China?
Unfortunately for Senator Shamp, the bill was Vetoes by Governor Katie Hobbs on June 2nd. She claims that the bill is too ineffective at the protection it claims to provide, and lacks a clear implementation criteria necessary to enact a bill of this magnitude.
This likely will not be the last time we see a bill attempting to target this, as it certainly isn't the first time. Much like this one, though, they've all been shot down quite quickly, with 1109 being the only one to make it past the house and senate before being vetoes by Governor Hobbs.
