Alzheimer's is Overwhelming
Alzheimer’s can be overwhelming to a patient, but it can also overwhelming to family and friends of the patient. After an initial diagnosis, there are questions, but where are the answers? The first thing to realize is that you are not alone. There is help. There are resources, services, and programs. There is local help.
The Sierra Vista Support Group presented by the Alzheimer’s Association, Desert Southwest Chapter, meets every fourth Thursday of the month. They meet at the Sierra Vista Public Library 2600 E. Tacoma Street from 10:30 am to 11:30 am.

There are programs for Early-Stage, Middle-Stage, and Late-Stage for both patients and caregivers. There are programs for effective communication, and managing money, and programs for simply understanding the disease, the brain, and the body. These are offered in English and Spanish.
