Robert F Kennedy Jr. Drops Out In Arizona
Third Party Candidates are an interesting concept in America. While many other nations have several dozen candidates every election, with an equal chance for all of them, the United States runs a little differently.
Every election in recent memory has been between the Republican and Democratic candidates, which it was a surprise to see independent Robert F Kennedy Jr. polling right along with the big names.
He won't be on the ballot anymore.
RFK Jr. Drops Out
After polling at around nine percent for much of this election cycle, RFK Jr. announced he would no longer be running for president after removing his name from the Arizona ballots on August 22nd. The other 49 states are expected to follow.
This should come as no surprise, as the weeks leading up to this showed that Kennedy was losing steam, calling to both Kamala Harris and Donald Trump, looking for a place in their cabinets.
Will Kennedy Endorse Donald Trump?
While Kennedy has met with both Democratic and Republican leaders, the arrow seems to be pointing towards a spot in the Trump administration. RFK will speak to the press in Phoenix a few hours before Donald Trump is expected to speak in Glendale.
He is unsure if Trump will add him to the team, and even Trump seems wary to give an announcement, acknowledging that the two will be in Arizona, and may discuss the possibility of a team-up.
The two have had their issues in the past, notably when RFK called Trump a "terrible human being" and "sociopath" at the RNC earlier this year. While this is likely just a case of election year banter, it will be interesting to see the dynamic between the two if Kennedy does join Trump's squad.
