Randy Houser’s “We Went” Video Filmed in Cochise County
Part of the video for Randy Houser's “We Went” was filmed in Cochise County near Sierra Vista, Arizona on Moson Road. The video stars Randy Houser as “The Good Deed Bandit” and Caitlin Leahy as his sidekick, Sage.
In the video, you can see Cochise County Sheriff’s Office vehicles chasing Randy Houser in his black Pontiac. Two other muscle cars in the video, the Camaro and Mustang, are personal cars belonging to Sheriff Mark Dannels. (See pictures of the cars below).
The Sheriff's Crown Vic that crashes in the video was donated and the Cochise County Sheriff’s decals were put on it. In an interview, Sheriff Dannels said the original intent was to flip the Crown Vic, but they could not get it to flip. Also below is a picture provided by Sheriff Dannels of the actors and crew in the back of a truck at a safe distance to watch them try to flip the Crown Vic. (Listen to Sheriff Dannels interview below)
Sheriff Dannels also talked about the County Road 44 sign in the video saying, “They made two signs, and all the band members and everybody there signed both signs. Randy Houser kept one, I kept the other one for our office. It hangs in my office proudly today.” (See pictures of the County Road sign below)
Driving the Cochise County Sheriff’s office vehicles is Tod Linendoll with the Sheriff’s Office, while the band members are in CCSO uniforms. At the beginning of the video, you can hear a dispatch voice alerting authorities to the location of the “Good Deed Bandit”, that is the voice of Carol Capas, Public Information Officer with the Sheriff’s Office. Other local locations for the video shoots were Casino Del Sol in Tucson and Mt. Lemmon in Tucson.
I was invited on the set of “We Went” to do an interview with Randy Houser about the video. I also got a picture with him and Caitlin Leahy. On set, I snapped a picture with the County Road 44 sign while on location Moson Road. (See these pictures below)
