Have You Noticed This Issue In Sierra Vista?
As a Georgia-grown boy, I love one thing more than anything else on this planet: Fried Chicken. While I prefer homestyle, cooked by family, friends, or a local mom-and-pop shop, I'll eat any battered and crispy chicken I can get my hands on.
When Sierra Vista finally got a new establishment, focusing exclusively on that I was ecstatic, but issues have been plaguing its opening, and the roots go further back than you can imagine.
Sierra Vista Loves New Business
As the major hub of Cochise County, Sierra Vista is privy to the newest and best economic developments available. Residents from Wilcox, Benson, Bisbee, and all around the county meet here for their taste of the outside economy.
The issue with this is that whenever a new business makes its way to our neck of the woods, it's flooded with customers. That's obviously a great thing for the owners, but it seems everyone else has to suffer. Customers wait longer, and staff becomes overworked almost immediately.
We may have hit a breaking point.

The Popeyes Issue
In early November 2024, Sierra Vista gained a powerful new business: Popeyes Chicken. This Louisiana-based fast-food restaurant is renowned the world over, and Cochise County got the memo. Since its opening, the place has been slammed open to close, and even long before and after those set times.
The lines are getting out of control, and workers have been pushed to their limit. While this seems to happen every time an exciting new business opens up here, this has gone further than anything we've ever seen.
So, folks, I know we're excited, but let's maybe let the Popeyes workers breathe for a second.
