No matter who you are, money has started seeming tight. Prices are rising, and raises aren't being given out, forcing more and more people to scrimp and save for the things that they want.

It's times like these that make people wait for a mysterious benefactor to relieve us of all of our stresses.

Wouldn't you know it, we found it.

The Chase Bank Money Glitch

Over Labor Day weekend, a TikTok started going viral, explaining how to get rich off of doing nothing but writing a few words and taking a drive to an ATM. The process was simple enough.

Step One: Write a false check, likely for a very very large sum of money.

Step Two: Deposit said check at a Chase bank ATM.

Step Three: Withdrawal a smaller, but still significant, amount of money from the ATM in the same session.

Step Four: Profit.

Hundreds, if not thousands of people began to take this advice to heart, taking thousands of dollars from underneath the watchful eye of Chase Bank. They made the fatal mistake of forgetting the last step, however.

Step Five: Commit Fraud

Yeah, it's check fraud. Hate to burst your bubble, but this is textbook. If you've ever seen and/or read 'Catch ME If You Can", you probably know this. What many saw as a "glitch" in Chase's ATM systems was nothing more than pure human stupidity. All those who flew too close to the sun began noticing large swaths of cash missing from their bank accounts.

Chase isn't stupid. They would never willingly let a bounced check be upheld, especially in the modern age where it takes a split-second for machines to determine if the check is bogus.

Chase bank has spoken out, stating that this is, in fact, considered fraud, and everyone should be warned to not partake in the trend.
