You HAVE To See Arizona’s Most Charming Small Town
There are plenty of things that Arizona does better than most of the United States: Hispanic food, natural recreation, never winning a Super Bowl... the list goes on and on.
One such thing we do much better than the rest of America is building atmospheric small towns. There are dozens of cute, homey towns for you to explore across the Grand Canyon State, but only one can be the BEST.
The Most Charming Small Town in Arizona
Over the past few weeks, reality television station HGTV has been putting together a list of the best small towns across America. These locations show what America is all about, and of course, we've got no shortage of contenders.
HGTV decided to highlight Winslow as Arizona's best and most charming small town, and they had plenty of reasoning behind their decision. They cited plenty of historic monuments, beautiful natural surroundings, and all-around atmosphere as their reasoning behind the choice, but there's so much more than that that makes Winslow special.

What to Do In and Around Winslow
Located just a short drive east from Flagstaff, there's plenty to do if you find yourself passing through Winslow. You can, of course, stand on the corner mentioned in The Eagles breakout hit "Take it Easy", or stay at the historic La Posada Hotel.
If outdoor recreation is more your speed, don't hesitate to take the trip to Meteor Crater or Homolovi State Park to see some of Arizona's most unique wilderness areas with petroglyphs, real meteor craters, and scenic views you'd kill for.
While there are plenty of other small towns in Arizona worth your time (I'm partial to Bisbee, obviously), Winslow is one you HAVE to visit at least once.
