You Won’t Believe THIS Hollywood Heartthrob’s Connection To Arizona
Old Hollywood is a time long forgotten. It was an era where people saw movies for the stars, not their characters. Decades before Marvel and Star Wars dominated the box-office, it was the actors and directors people were obsessed with.
While that era is long gone, whispers still remain, reminding us of that not-so-distant past.
Hotel San Carlos' Hollywood Connection
First built in 1928, Hotel San Carlos is one of the most iconic hotels, not just in Arizona, but in America. A major part of its history has been plagued by hauntings, tragedies, and unexplained phenomena, but many forget its influence in the early days.
The hotel's first explosion in popularity was during the golden age of Hollywood, where stars would seek refuge from the doting fans and paparazzi. Almost every major movie star from the mid-20th century made a stop at Hotel San Carlos, and they're immortalized the only way Hollywood knows how.

What is the Arizona Walk of Fame?
Just outside of Hotel San Carlos is a sidewalk, just like any other lining the streets of the Valley of the Sun. However, there's one major difference. Lining the pavement under your feet, you may notice a glare from the sun, that's due to the gold stars built into the street.
This makes up the "Arizona Walk of Fame", a very similar experience to Hollywood, but these commemorate every famous guest that's stayed at Hotel San Carlos. Names like Marilyn Monroe, Clark Gable, and Mae West are enshrined next to their signature in a uniquely Arizona way of celebrating Hollywood's golden age.
