Organ Donors In Arizona Give Back Through Their Food
If you look at your drivers license, you might see a heart somewhere near the bottom. No, that's not the state telling you they love you, it's a sign that you're an organ donor.
Right now, over 100,000 people need a life saving organ transplant, and donors like you and I make that possible.
Arizona's donors are being remembered in the best possible way.
The Organ Donor Cookbook
Organ donors are some of the most selfless people on earth. In their last act, they give their life to someone else, and ensure that someone who needed them can go on to live another day. But it's a thankless endeavor, and the world will likely never know who saved someone's life.
The Donor Network of Arizona decided to ensure that no Arizona donors will be forgotten again, and they started with a cookbook. A simple way to show the life and humanity of those who spent their last act selflessly.

Recipes of Remembrance
Starting in 2020, the Donor Network began putting the cookbook together, called "Recipes of Remembrance". The book includes recipes and biographies of donors who were no longer with us. It's a way to remember the selfless act they performed, and give us a look into who they were.
The families of donors love this concept, as it allows them to reconnect with their lost ones with their food. Something you can make at any time to fill your house with their memory.
The cookbook has become a yearly endeavor, and the 2024 edition is likely coming soon.
