Arizona Drivers, Watch Out For Intersections
I spent the last few years before I moved to Arizona in Florida, so I know how bad drivers can get. Luckily, Arizona's nowhere close to Florida, California, Georgia, or any other state with horrible drivers.
There is one thing that Arizona drivers are worst at than most, however, and we need to find a way to fix it.
Intersections are an Issue
In a study conducted by the Simmrin Law Group, Arizona was found to have the third-most accidents at intersections in America. This amounts to around four crashes per 100,000 people. This sounds like a small number, but compared to the national average of 2.78, it's quite dire.
This places the state just slightly below New Mexico (4.33 accidents per 100,000 people) and home sweet home, Florida (a whopping 5.19 accidents per 100,000 people). Why on earth is this happening though? Is it Arizona drivers, or simply an issue with local intersections?

What's Causing This Issue?
There are a few reasons why intersections have become so dangerous in Arizona, starting with the intersections themselves. There's obviously no "catch-all" answer, but experts believe that making signage clearer to drivers, improving lighting, and optimizing the timing of signals could cut down on the number of intersection accidents.
The other is obvious: the drivers! Slowing down while approaching intersections and maintaining focus on the road at all times can lead to safer intersections, and safer drivers. These aren't just tips for avoiding accidents, they should be followed any time you're on the road to ensure you get to your destination safe and unscathed.
