Are You Retiring? Arizona Is The Place To Go
On some days, it seems like you'll work until you die. The sterile lights, cramped cubicles, and overbearing bosses can drive a better person insane.
The only solace is the thought of retirement. Lounging on a beach with a margarita in hand, no worries except when you're getting up for a refill. While many immediately think of Florida as their retirement landing spot, Arizona has one city that needs to become your number 1 destination.
Best Places to Retire in the U.S.
recently, Realtor.com released their rankings of the best places to retire in America, based on price, median age, and median list prices. New Jersey, Florida, and California take up the majority of the list, which isn't surprising in the slightest. California and Florida are both perfect for beachy rest and relaxation, while New Jersey will give you the perfect Metro-Suburban environment.
Only two other states made the list, with one being King City, Oregon. The other may be a little close to home.
Welcome to Green Valley, AZ!
Located just 30 miles outside of the bustling city of Tucson, lies a much quieter community. Green Valley is the perfect place to retire, mostly due to its relative isolation and natural scenery. The community sits right near the Madera Canyon, which is famous for its birdwatching.
Beautiful nature and fun friends won't convince many to move to a new town, but prices definitely will. The average home lists at around $349,000, and the average age of residents is 74. This is the perfect place to settle down after a long life of work. When the time comes, Green Valley will be waiting for you.
