Who’s On Stage This Week? The Sierra Vista Summer Concert Series
Our local summer tradition is taking off, and if you missed last week, there's still time to catch this family-friendly, FREE event in the park. The Sierra Vista Summer Concert Series continues this week in the heart of Sierra Vista, in Veterans Memorial Park.
This week, the popular Desert Fever will take the Centennial Pavilion stage beginning at 6:30 pm. Be sure to plan ahead - bring your lawn chairs and blankets, and plan to come early to stake out a good spot.
Don't forget to toss in an umbrella. You can use it to escape the heat of the afternoon sun, and you'll be prepared if you get an odd shower during the performance.
Desert Fever Band
According to the City of Sierra Vista website, Desert Fever is, "Where endless enthusiasm and jazz collide, you'll find Desert Fever performing jazz favorites. Your fingers will pop, and your toes will start tapping when the music starts up!"
Desert Fever plays many jazz, contemporary, and classic hits. You're sure to hear something you like, whether it's Herbie Hancock's Watermelon Man, Chicago's 25 or 6 to 4, Miley Cyrus' Flowers or even songs you may not know, but will get your toes tapping, like Imelda May's Big Bad Handsome Man.
The Summer Concert Series Continues
If you can't make this week's performance, you'll have more chances to enjoy this FREE summer concert series as more talented local bands share their music with our community. The concert series runs through the end of June each week at the Centennial Pavilion in Veterans Park.
All concerts are free and open to the public. For more information, check out the Summer Concert Series on the City of Sierra Vista's website, or call Parmalee Mitchell at (520) 439-2300.
