Adding a New Policy to Protect Customers

The USPS is beginning this policy to protect customers. In the past, you could stop at any post office and pick up a mail-in postcard, fill it out, and return it to the post office with your new address.

The New Policy Begins Immediately

The new policy applies to anyone filing a change of address request online or by mail.

Now you'll have to make a trip to the post office and present a valid ID and a QR code that you'll receive by email. If you don't do this, your change of address request won't be activated.
