A website called Practical Perfection has some great suggestions for accessorizing your car. Sparkly car coasters in the cup holder, a small suncatcher hanging from the rearview mirror, and a decorative air freshener. These are all wonderful ways to make your car beautiful and fun!

There is one new trend, however, that could pose a safety risk. The National Highway Traffic Safety Administration (NHTSA) is advising against this sparkly new trend.

Why It Matters

The NHTSA reported that at least one driver lost sight in one eye. The rhinestones dislodged from her steering wheel when her airbag deployed during a crash, causing permanent injury.
