With all the hustle and bustle of the season, it's good to stop and smell the roses. And enjoy some cookies and cocoa! Bring your family to the University of Arizona Sierra Vista Campus and take a break in the beautiful Discovery Gardens. The Cochise County Master Gardeners invite you to this free event.

Relax and enjoy the beauty of the season as the Cochise County Master Gardeners bring you cookies and cocoa, plus a chance for photos and a chat with Santa Claus.

The event happens in the Discovery Gardens located on the University of Arizona Sierra Vista Campus, located at 1140 Colombo Avenue, Sierra Vista, right behind the Sierra Vista campus of Cochise College. Follow either entrance to the bottom of the ‘U’; you can’t miss the beautifully lit Discovery Gardens.

Sip Hot Cocoa and Sing Along with Earthpicks

If you’re out shopping or running errands on Thursday, December 7th, be sure to stop by the Discovery Gardens any time between 5:30 and 7:30 pm. Enjoy a cup of hot Cocoa with all the fixins, plus cookies and treats, provided free by the CCMGA.

See the Night Skies at the Patterson Observatory

Patterson Observatory, just behind the Discovery Gardens, will be open. The knowledgeable volunteers from the Huachuca Astronomy Club will have telescopes set up and you can even get a glimpse through the large telescope if weather and clear skies permit.

Bring your celestial questions – the members of HAC will point out interesting objects in our beautiful night skies.
