How to See Sierra Vista Community Theatre’s “The Odd Couple (Female Version)”
With opening day fast approaching, it was time to have a chat with some of the cast members of Sierra Vista Community Theatre's production of Neil Simon's The Odd Couple (Female Version).
The Odd Couple kicks off the SVCT's 2023 Season. On Val in the Morning, I spoke to Pam Landin who plays Olive Madison. Pam expressed how much fun she's having with the production, going on to say she loves working with the entire cast. She told me the cast and crew work together to bring every performance to life.
Jason Cabrera who plays Monolo Costazuela in the production, has seen the theatre grow over the years. Jason told me, "The Sierra Vista Community Theatres is always on the lookout for new talent and volunteers interested in everything from lighting to set building to sound design and much more."
Once there was a time the group was so small everyone had to wear a lot of hats. The group has grown, but they're always looking for anyone who's interested in being part of the fun.
In this version of Neil Simon's, The Odd Couple, Female Version, Olive Madison is laidback, untidy, and straight-talking versus Olive's neurotic, obsessively clean, hypochondriac friend, Florence Unger. After Florence's marriage breaks down Olive, herself estranged from a husband, allows Florence to move in with her. What can go wrong?!
The Odd Couple (Female Version) opens Friday February 10th at 7pm on the Sierra Vista Community Theatre stage in the Mall at Sierra Vista. There will be another performance on Saturday night at 7pm and a matinee on Sunday at 3pm. The show continues for two additional weekends, with the final performance on Sunday February 26th.
Buy your tickets ahead of time, as seating is limited and this show may sell out quickly. For all the latest information on how to join the Sierra Vista Community Theatre or to learn more about their upcoming shows, please visit their website.
