As Memorial Day approaches, we take time as a nation to remember those who paid the price for our freedom. It is a time of reflection and appreciation.

Fort Huachuca is full of military history. The Army Fort is the historical home of the Buffalo Soldiers, and you will find the historical cavalry unit B-Troop. You can visit the Fort Huachuca Historical Museum at 41401 Grierson Ave. Continuing their place in history, Fort Huachuca is hosting a ceremony in front of NETCOM headquarters. There is also a link below for a virtual tour of the Signal Cove of Remembrance. You can take a look around on your phone or computer if you can't make the event in person. Here is the press release for the event.

The ceremony recognizes those Army Signal Soldiers and Civilians who died while deployed since Sept. 11, 2001.

Since officially dedicated in December 2008, 103 names and photos of the fallen have been placed inside the Signal Cove of Remembrance. This year there will be no individuals inducted; however, the Command will continue its annual recognition of those who are enshrined in the Cove.
