Brush Your Teeth! Arizona’s Dental Hygiene Is Horrible!
Life's nothing without a good smile. When life hands you one of its many joys, there's nothing more you can do than crack open that mouth and show off your pearly whites to the world.
Your smile is nothing without good dental hygiene though, and Arizona's currently struggling on that front.
Arizona's Dental Care Ranking
WalletHub has released their state rankings for Oral Hygiene in 2024, and it doesn't look good for the Grand Canyon State. Out of 50 states, Arizona ranked 23rd, just above the halfway point. This is in part because of the average Oral Health of citizens, which is 22nd in the nation.
Our persistence to keep our teeth shiny and bright is what drags us down though, with a Dental Habits rank of 27. This means that, while we may be middle of the road with how clean our teeth are on any given day, we don't do much in way of upkeep.

How to Make Arizona Healthy Again
How on earth can we bump this number? We don't want Arizona to be known as the state with yellow smiles! Well folks, it's easy. Firstly, make sure you're brushing your teeth at least twice a day, if not more. Once when you wake up, and again when you're settling down for bed. This will ensure that your teeth don't build up excess plaque and can stay white throughout the day, just make sure you don't skip days in between!
Aside from that, make sure to floss, brush your tongue, and visit the dentist twice a year to make sure your pearly whites can stay glimmering.
