The Cochise County Superintendent of Schools presents the 2023 Innovations in Education Conference, Friday January 20th at the Cochise College Sierra Vista campus. This is an all-day event with a light breakfast, lunch, 20 plus breakout sessions, vendors, self-care stations, networking and more. Learn how to shape and mentor the next generation of leaders while focusing on fellowship, collaboration and self-care. The keynote speaker is Shaulee Curtis, School Counselor and Wellness Director for Interweave Solutions.  

Registration begins at 730 and the conference starts at 8:00 o'clock and runs till 4:30. There are 34 presenters and 24 exhibitors with an action-packed day of education, innovation, and connection with educators, community members, and resources.  Everyone is invites, the community, students and educators. Cynthia Meyers Public Outreach Coordinator said, “The idea is really just to have a day where everybody can relax, share ideas and learn about different technologies, things that are coming down from the state, things that we have in the community, other resources.”

Superintendent of School Jacqui Clay said this about the conference, “Ladies and gentlemen this conference is for all of us it's like a family reunion, it is a mental health day. It is a time for us to learn with our educators. We want to reach so our kids, (They) will not be exported but we will keep them here and they will be our future leaders.”
