On June 29th, 2025, tragedy struck. Local Firefighters in Northwest Idaho responded to a routine brush fire before being ambushed by a young man.

There is technically no "Stand Your Ground" law here in Arizona, at least not by that name. The principle, however, still applies.

Gun laws differ from state to state, so in order to keep everything in order The Giffords Law Center to Prevent Gun Violence creates yearly reports that grades states based on their firearm laws and safety. Arizona's report doesn't look great.
