On March 20th, the Department of Defense okayed a plan to allow military personnel to join the U.S. Customs and Border Patrol for advanced detection and monitoring along the Southern Arizona border.
Arizona is one of the largest battlegrounds for illegal immigration, with nearly 2,000 undocumented immigrants crossing into the state in 2023 alone, and the federal government wants to help them out.
